American actor Dave Coulier (66) won the hearts of viewers as jolly uncle Joey Gladstone in the cult series Full House. In recent years, his name has also been associated with a difficult battle with cancer. According to the magazine, he again faces a difficult treatment, since he doctors diagnosed another type of serious illness.
In October 2024, the actor heard news that shook him. After detailed investigations, it turned out that has a specific form of cancer of the lymphatic system called advanced stage non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He immediately underwent exhaustive treatment, which was effective, and in March 2025 he was happy to announce that he is in remission, meaning there are no signs of cancer in his body.
After recovery, he had regular check-ups. During one of them, doctors came across a new finding and diagnosed him with a different type of cancer. It is a p16 positive carcinoma at the root of the tongue (associated with the HPV virus). “I asked the doctors if it was related to the lymphoma. They said it was unrelated,” he explained, but he must undergo 35 sessions of radiation. “I’ll finish them on December 31st,” he declared.
The prognosis is nevertheless very good. “The cure rate is more than 90%. But what really saved my life… is early detection of the disease – not only the first time, but also the second time. So I hope you go for regular check-ups. Colonoscopies, breast or prostate examinations can save your life.” he bequeathed to the people he was trying to motivate not to neglect their health.
