Milk Sandwich Cake is rightly associated with the iconic store dessert. In this recipe you will find a delicate cocoa sponge cake combined with a velvety milk cream. The whole thing is complemented by an insanely delicious milk chocolate icing.

Ingredients for the cake:
- 4 eggs,
- 120 g sugar,
- 50 ml of oil,
- 100 g of wheat flour,
- 40 g kakao,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
Ingredients for the cream:
- 140 ml of milk,
- 300 ml heavy cream (30%),
- 120 g sugar,
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar,
- 300 g of powdered milk,
- 200 g of soft butter,
- 100 g of milk chocolate.
Ingredients for the topping:
- 100 g of milk chocolate,
- 100 ml heavy cream (30%).
Bring the eggs to room temperature. Separate the whites from the yolks. With a mixer at medium speed, beat the egg whites until stiff. Without stopping whipping, gradually add sugar to the foam. When the foam becomes stiff and shiny, add one egg yolk at a time, while still mixing, and finally pour in the oil.
Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder. Mix the dry ingredients into the foam in batches. Use a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix only until ingredients are combined.
Line a 20×30 cm baking tin with baking paper. Pour the dough into it and smooth its surface. Place in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for 30 minutes (until the stick is dry). Set the cake aside to cool.
Heat the cream intended for the icing in a pot. Melt the crushed chocolate in it. Mix until smooth. Set aside to cool.
Boil the ingredients for the cream in a separate pot: milk, cream, sugar, vanilla sugar. Set aside to cool slightly.
Pour milk powder into a bowl. Gradually add the mixture from the pot to it, mixing the resulting mass all the time. Set it aside to cool.
Cream the butter until fluffy. Combine them with the milk mixture. Finally, mix the chocolate grated on a coarse grater into the mixture. Do not mix for too long so that the chocolate does not form a homogeneous whole with the cream.
Cut the cake into two layers. Spread with cream. Spread the thickening glaze on top. Put in the fridge.
