GIS messages do not appear without a reason, and this one should be treated extremely seriously. This is a product commonly found in Polish kitchens, which could also find its way into your fridge.

The State Sanitary Inspectorate detected it during routine inspections presence of Salmonella bacteria in a specific batch of eggs. Irregularities were found both in the egg content and on their shells. The tests showed that the bacteria was present in most of the samples taken, which means a real threat to the health of consumers. GIS emphasizes that the consumption of contaminated eggs, especially raw or semi-raw, may lead to acute gastrointestinal problems.

The warning applies to fresh eggs from barn farming (pack of 10 pieces) with a date of minimum durability of 05/01/2026. The product was manufactured by BESTFARM Poultry Farm Bestwinka. The eggs came from a marked packing plant number PL-24025908. If you have eggs with such parameters at home, do not eat them under any circumstances, even after heat treatment.

Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause severe food poisoning. Symptoms most often appear within a few hours and include:

• diarrhea,
• vomiting,
• stomach pain,
• fever,
• general weakness.

The infection is particularly dangerous for children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immunity. In extreme cases, hospitalization may be necessary.

According to GIS, the manufacturer took immediate action to withdraw the questioned batch from the market. According to current information, the eggs should no longer be on sale. However, if you managed to buy them:

• do not consume the product,
• return the eggs to the store where they were purchased,
• thoroughly wash and disinfect surfaces that may have come into contact with them.

As officials emphasize, the goal is not to stigmatize producers, but to protect public health and quickly respond to potential danger.
