The actor Joaquim Monchique suffered a stroke on Saturday night, after the performance of the play Lar Doce Lar, at the Teatro Municipal de Bragança.
It was reported that the 57-year-old artist felt unwell in the dressing room after leaving the stage and was transported to Bragança hospital. This Sunday morning, he was transferred to Lisbon.
The actor is “well and oriented” and is already in the health unit where he is usually followed, in Lisbon, according to SIC. According to , Mochique has recently undergone several treatments to combat heart problems.
Lar Doce Lar is a show in which Joaquim Monchique shares the stage with Maria Rueff. The actor made his television debut on the program A Grande Noite, by Filipe La Féria, and became widely known to the public with the character “Pilita”, in Herman José’s comedy format, on SIC.
The news of the comedian’s stroke comes less than a month after his professional colleague. The comedian and radio host, 54 years old, is still hospitalized and has no expected discharge date yet. “This is going slowly but it is going, my friends”, he said in a special broadcast on Rádio Comercial recorded from the hospital.
