First person to travel into space in a wheelchair


Houston (Texas) – German Michaela Benthaus became the first person in a wheelchair to fly into space. The paraplegic space engineer traveled into space on Saturday as a tourist for a short trip of a few minutes on a rocket from the US company Blue Origin. There were a total of six tourists on board. Blue Origin is owned by US multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos, founder of the online giant Amazon.
