O a man’s bodystill unidentified, was found in the early evening of Saturday (20) under the bridge that crosses the Avenida Silves stream, in the South Zone of Manaus (AM). The Civil Police (PC) investigates the case as possible robberygiven the evidence found at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the victim had been lured into an ambush after receiving his salary. Criminals would have taken all the money withdrawn, as well as the cell phone and work boots that the man was wearing.
The body showed obvious marks of violence, which reinforces the suspicion of aggression before death.
Body found under bridge
Technical expertise identified traces that the area under the bridge is used as an improvised shelter by homeless people or drug users. To date, no suspects have been arrested.
The Legal Medical Institute (IML) removed the body for legal procedures.
The investigations are under the responsibility of the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), which seeks to identify the victim, locate witnesses and analyze images from security cameras in the region to clarify who was responsible for the crime.
