The amount in question is equal to the original license fee, just over 500 million euros, plus revaluation and accrued interest
TIM Italy received this Saturday a decision from the Italian Court of Cassation confirming the refund of the license fee claimed in 1998. The amount in question is equal to the original license fee, just over 500 million euros, plus revaluation and accrued interest, totaling just over 1 billion euros. The dispute lasted more than 25 years.
The decision of the Italian Supreme Court rejected the appeal presented by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and definitively confirms the decision of the Rome Court of Appeal of April 2024.
