In the past, Martin Pyco Rausch was among the presenter stars and took the microphone in several popular television programs. He gradually disappeared completely from the screens, but according to his own words, he is not coming back. In an interview, he revealed whether he misses working in a television environment.
Together with Adela Vinczeová, Superstar hosted four years of the dance show Let’s Dance. In addition, he moderated Slávika, Czech Slovakia has talent and the entertaining show Your face sounds familiar. Pyco reoriented himself from the position of moderator to a food blogger on Instagram. “I didn’t completely stop moderating, nor did I plan to completely leave television. It wasn’t like I was going to stop now and cut it off for good. Rather, given the situation and circumstances, I prioritized my hobby back then.” he explained.
His hobby gradually became his main occupation. Now he divides his time between other things and cooking, which is Pyc’s main livelihood. He is now engaged in moderating only occasionally at private events, and he enjoys it then. Screens are not printed back. “I don’t want to be disrespectful to the audience. I don’t miss television as such, I rather miss a craft robot with some creativity put into it” he said honestly.
He meant cooperation with a cameraman, sound engineer or screenwriter. “All that group work. And then of course how we transfer it to the viewer, how it works and how you enjoy it in some way. Those are the things that keep you entertained if you’re doing it for this. I did it for that. Maybe they’ll smolder inside you when you stop, but once in a while you’ll enjoy some hosting and then I think I’ll go back to the kitchen for a while“, he admitted openly.
Already on March 8, 2026, the eleventh series of Let’s Dance will return to Markíza. Pyco vehemently denied ever taking the floor as a competitor. “I don’t even plan to do that. Within the forum, one should do things that at least a little bit won’t look completely tragic. In my case, dancing would be tragic. Plus, it’s definitely clear that my knees, my spine, and my physical therapists won’t allow me to go into something like that. At my age, it’s passé“, he stated.
