For several years now, Hospital de Viseu has been marking this Christmas season with small musical moments with various guest groups. Recognition for healthcare professionals and help in the recovery of patients.
Along the corridors to the wards, Viseu Hospital welcomes musical groups these days to break the routine and silence. But in the case of Obstetrics, it even had the opposite effect and helped to calm newborns.
The aim of the hospital’s initiative is to provide small concerts at Christmas time with various invited groups.
SIC accompanied one of these groups, which belongs to a music school, which decided to go further and visit all the specialties.
At the same time as they cheer up those who are sick, it is a way of recognizing healthcare professionals for their dedication to others.
But, on this visit, the future musicians also learned a lesson: they sang live in front of the public and realized that helping others is part of the Christmas spirit.
