He died at the age of 46 on Friday (19. december) American actor James Ransonebest known for the TV series The Wire and the film IT: Chapter 2. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office the cause of death was hanging writes the magazine.
Ransone became famous for the role of Chester “Ziggy” Sobotka in the second series of The Wire (The Wire – Dirt of Baltimore), where he appeared in 12 episodes. He portrayed a port worker who gradually becomes involved in petty crime.
Five years later, he starred alongside Alexander Skarsgård in the HBO miniseries Generation Kill. In all seven parts, he portrayed a real character – US Marine Corporal Josh Ray Person. The miniseries followed the work of a Rolling Stone magazine war reporter who was assigned to the 1st Recon Marines unit during the invasion of Iraq.
In 2019, Ransone appeared in IT: Chapter 2 as an adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak, a shy limousine driver from the town of Derry. His other film projects included pictures Black telephone and its sequel, V/H/S/85 or in the horror movies Sinister and Sinister 2. On television, he appeared in, for example, the series Poker Face, SEAL Team, 50 States of Fright and The First, where you starred alongside Sean Penn.
