Forgáč reacts to the lynching after the case of Fer Joke: Destroy, trample and forget! He sent a message to Slovaks

The case surrounding the comedian František Košarišťan alias Fer Joke still resonates on the Internet. After the accusation of sexual harassment by two young men, several celebrities took the side of Fer. Most recently, popular moderator Marcel Forgáč spoke. He expressed his opinion in a status on social networks.

“But it’s very interesting how the most anti-American and anti-European part of the public is suddenly the master of “cancel culture” (a modern form of public defamation and boycott, editor’s note),” Forgáč wrote in the introduction. According to him, Fero Joke made an inescapably ugly mistake. “Although there are voices, whether someone did it to him a little bit. He did, he didn’t, it happened,” he stated.

He added that Fero had his hands where he shouldn’t have them, alcohol is certainly not a mitigating factor. “Fero apologized, I think he sincerely regretted his actions, he lost cooperation, partners, business. He is living one crazy shitstorm and lynching on social networks. Punishment. Merciless. He accepts it humbly and with his head bowed, aware of his failure,” the moderator emphasized in the status.

“However, for me, this does not mean that this human being should be written off. Destroy, trample and forget. František Košarišťan has been an extremely empathetic, value-correct and kind guy for the vast majority of his life. Without the right to recompense, helping children’s oncology for days, devoting himself to charity in such a way, not just for a few minutes for the cameras and Instagram, and helping the weaker in all directions with an energy that we can only envy,” the comedian defends publicly.

Forgáč sent a message to people who refuse to give the comedian a second chance. Maybe you just can’t handle the sharpness and perfect timing of his satire, I’m guessing. You who refuse to give him a second chance may just be incapable of accepting the otherness of Fer. You who refuse to give him a second chance, remember, precious, willing, big-hearted people this country needs more than anything else,” he continued.

He also stated that they should remember the Christian base of this country. “Especially at this time, please try to think of the words “repentance” “forgiveness” and “mercy”,” added Marcel Forgáč at the end of the post.
