George Clooney’s great sadness: His beloved sister († 65) was taken from him by cancer!

Actor George Clooney’s older sister Adelia “Ada” Zeidler has died at the age of 65. magazine reported, saying she left on Friday, December 19. “My sister Ada was my hero. She faced cancer with courage and humor. I have never met anyone so brave. Amal and I will miss her immensely,” Clooney said in an exclusive statement.

According to the obituary, Ada, who was from Augusta, Kentucky, died “peacefully, surrounded by the people she loved” at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was born on May 2, 1960 in Los Angeles to Nick Clooney, a journalist and television host, and Nina Bruce Warren, a writer. She was named after her great-grandmother.

Ada was a talented artist and worked as an art teacher at Augusta Independent School for several years. Already during high school, she achieved excellent academic results, thanks to which she became the holder of the title of National Merit Scholar. She studied at colleges in Louisville and Northern Kentucky, and later worked as an accountant. In 1987, she married Norman Zeidler, a former army captain.

Although Ada led a largely private life and rarely appeared in public, she attended her brother George’s wedding to Amal in Venice in September 2014. Her husband Norman Zeidler died in 2004 of a heart attack. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two children – Nick Zeidler and Allison Zeidler Herolaga. The last farewell to Ada will take place on Monday, December 22.
