Lucas Borbas, published this Sunday (12/21) a statement to take a stance on controversies involving the influencer’s family. The demonstration occurs while she is admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Paraná, where she remains intubated due to respiratory complications. Isabel has been treating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since she was 15 years old.
On Saturday (12/20), relatives on the influencer’s maternal side used social media to make accusations against her father, Joelson Veloso. According to the publications, he had asked Miriam Kiekow, Isabel’s mother and responsible for fully accompanying her during treatment, to leave the apartment where she lived. The property, according to reports, was borrowed by Joelson’s family.

The situation was also exposed by Priscila Kiekow, Isabel’s sister, who stated that she spoke out after considering that the “humiliation and psychological violence had become too great to be ignored”.
Faced with the repercussions, Lucas Borbas released a note on Instagram asking that family issues be dealt with privately, without public exposure. In the statement, he stated: “In light of information and comments that have recently started to circulate, Lucas Borbas Veloso is publicly clarifying that issues of a strictly private and family nature are being unduly exposed, at an extremely delicate and inopportune moment.”
Afterwards, he highlighted his wife’s health status and requested respect. “Isabel faces a fight for her life, and, out of respect for her history, her dignity and her reputation, her name and that of her family should not be used or associated with conflicts, disagreements or partial versions of the facts,” he wrote.
The influencer’s husband also commented on the existence of family differences, reinforcing that they do not justify exposure on social networks: “Possible differences exist, as in any human relationship, but they do not authorize public exposure, especially when they involve people in a situation of extreme fragility”.
“Any issue that requires investigation or solution must be treated with responsibility, respect and, if necessary, through appropriate legal means, never through comments, insinuations or public judgments”, he declared.
At the end of the note, Lucas stated that he will not accept new associations of the couple’s name with public conflicts and made an appeal for empathy. “It is noted that any mention of Lucas and Isabel’s names, associated with discussions or public exhibitions, will not be tolerated. At this moment, what is expected is silence, empathy and humanity”, he concluded.
