Upon arriving at the address, on Rua Otília Marinho de Amorim, the police found that Erivaldo was already dead. The first information gathered at the scene indicates that he may have been subjected to severe aggression, possibly related to a so-called “discipline”, a practice attributed to criminal factions operating in the region. This hypothesis, however, is yet to be officially investigated.
Preliminarily, the suspicion is that the death was caused by trauma to the chest and abdomen, compatible with intense physical aggression. The Legal Medical Institute (IML) was called to remove the body and carry out cadaveric examinations, which should clarify the exact cause of death.
The case will be forwarded to the Civil Police, which will continue the investigations, hearing witnesses and determining whether there is direct involvement of members of criminal organizations in the crime.
