The attacker Memphis Depay was one of the heroes of Corinthians title in the Copa do Brasilthis Sunday (21). The number 10 scored one of the goals in the 2-1 victory over Vasco, at Maracanã, in the grand final.
After the game, Memphis praised the performance of the Corinthians squad, which overcame suspicions to reach the national title, in addition to winning the Campeonato Paulista, in March.
“The game was very tough, a lot of pressure, they played well. We suffered a lot, but in the end, Corinthians is a big club. I arrived a year ago, won two titles. A lot of people said they didn’t believe in this team, but we did it. I’m very proud of our group”, said the Dutchman.

Hired in September 2024, the striker became a key player in the Corinthians since then. Alongside Yuri Alberto, he was decisive throughout the season.
“A lot of emotions, I’m very happy for the World Cup title. This is Corinthians, we don’t look down. Two titles in one year (Copa do Brasil and Paulistão). And this is for every family that supports Corinthians, it’s not for me”, added the striker.
Already Brazilian Cupthe Dutchman scored goals against Palmeiras, in the round of 16, Athletico-PR, in the quarterfinals, Cruzeiro, in the semi-final.
