The Rio de Janeiro Court approved, this Sunday afternoon, the payment plan for the Vasco in the judicial recovery process, a fundamental step towards the club’s financial restructuring.
The decision, handed down shortly before , also ratified the validity of the General Assembly held in October, in which creditors approved the proposal.
Although the meeting was challenged due to an alleged lack of quorum and abusive conduct, the judge rejected the arguments as she understood that there was no real harm to creditors, noting that the author of the challenge himself voted in favor of the plan at the time.
The on-call decision was signed by judge Caroline Rossy Brandão.
“In view of all the reasons given by this Judge, after a thorough examination of the objections formulated, the preliminaries raised, the opinions of the AJC and MP and, above all, the control of the legality of the clauses of the Judicial Recovery Plan, considering, also, the approval of the plan by a significant majority of the creditors of the Debtors in Reorganization at the General Meeting of Creditors held on 10/09/2025, the effects of which await the necessary judicial approval, I GRANT JUDICIAL RECOVERY and APPROVAL OF THE JUDICIAL RECOVERY PLAN”, says an excerpt.
