Daniela Hantuchová (42) has been in a relationship with former French tennis player Guy Forget (60) for the past two years. According to information from the Czech daily, their relationship should have come to an end recently. Their unusual behavior on the social network should indicate that nothing connects them anymore. What is the truth?
The famous Slovak keeps her privacy, although she sometimes allows fans a peek into her life. In April, she even published a picture with the French elegant, whom she met already in 2022 in Bratislava. On July 20, 2002, the Slovakian team Hantuchová played in the first match of the quarter-final meeting of the world group of the Federation Cup Slovakia – France. At that time, the non-playing coaches Tomáš Malik and Guy Forget nominated the pairs Hantuchová, Husárová – Dechyová, Mauresmová for the doubles.
The spark between them ignited only a few years ago, but their relationship quickly took a turn. Daniela even decided to leave Monte Carlo and move about a thousand kilometers west to Biarritz on the Bay of Biscay to be with her love. For both of them, playing sports is a part of their everyday life, thanks to which they mainly devoted themselves to tennis, golf, but also skiing.
The winner of the Federation Cup in 2002 could certainly count on his great support when she started presenting herself at tennis tournaments as a TV reporter who can captivate the audience, as she has many years of experience. It is even more surprising that she is a participant in the sixth season of the flagship dance show Let’s Dance she suddenly deleted their photos together on the social network and unfollowed his profile, Forget did the same. Their actions signal that they have probably broken up.
Hantuchová definitively ended her career in 2017 by exchanging with the 1988 Seoul Olympic champion Miloslav Mečíř, who was her great role model. It was the long-time captain of the Davis Cup team who inspired her to embark on a tennis career.
Guy Forget resigned as head of the Roland Garros Grand Slam tournament in 2021. At the same time, Forget also gave up the same position at the Paris Masters men’s indoor event. He has managed the Grand Slam Roland Garros since 2016, the Paris Masters for four years longer.
