Recipe for beef shoulder in its own sauce

Ingredients:

  • 800 g beef shoulder,
  • 5 tablespoons of flour,
  • 50 ml of oil,
  • 600 ml beef broth,
  • 4 pickled cucumbers,
  • 200 ml of pickled cucumber water,
  • yellow pepper,
  • salt, pepper.

Preparation method:

1. Cut the meat into larger pieces and coat in flour – this will make the sauce more velvety.

2. Fry in oil to seal in the juices.

3. Place in a pot, pour in the broth and add chopped cucumbers and cucumber water. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 2 hours until the meat is soft and tender.

4. At the end of cooking, add chopped pepper and simmer for another 15 minutes without covering.

5. If you want to thicken the sauce, mix a spoonful of flour with a little cold water and pour it into the pot, mixing thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.
