A simple salad for the Christmas Eve table. You can make it in 20 minutes

If you like saladsyou’re probably still testing new ingredient combinations. Do you ever reach for canned celery? It is an original and very convenient salad ingredient. What to combine it with? You can let your imagination run wild. It will be an interesting accent in many combinations. For example, it is extremely tasty salad with mushrooms and celerywhose qualities are enhanced by the sour apple. To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 200 g mushrooms,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 red onion,
  • 1 apple,
  • 200 g pickled celery,
  • ½ small bunch of dill,
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt,
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • ½ teaspoon of herbal pepper,
  • salt, pepper (to taste),
  • clarified butter (for frying).

Wash the mushrooms and cut into slices. Fry in clarified butter. Mushrooms cannot be raw, but they must remain firm. At the end of frying, season them with salt and pepper.

Hard-boil the eggs (10 minutes after the water boils). Cool, peel and chop finely.

Peel the onion and cut into half-slices. Peel the apple and grate it on the large holes of a grater. Drain the celery from the brine. Chop the dill.

Combine all ingredients in a large enough bowl. Add yogurt and mayonnaise. Mix. Season everything with herbal pepper and – to taste – with salt and pepper.

Put the salad in the fridge for 2-3 hours to let the flavors mingle.
