Bemobi buys 50.1% of Paytime for R$28.1 million

A Bemobi Mobile Tech acquired 50.1% of the share capital of the Brazilian payments company Paytime Fintechwith an option to purchase the remaining shareholding until 2031.

In a statement sent to the market this Tuesday (23), the company informed that the purchase was made through the subsidiary Bemobi Paytech and that the payment for the initial participation will be R$ 28.1 million at the closing of the operation.

The amount payable by Bemobi could reach R$55.1 million, subject to certain financial performance targets, with payment scheduled for the beginning of 2027.

According to Bemobi, there will be purchase and sale option instruments for the remaining stake, to be exercised in 2029 and 2031, based on Paytime’s financial performance from 2026 to 2030.

Paytime will maintain its independent operation aimed at micro-entrepreneurs under the Paytime brand, while the new Bemobi PaaS unit will integrate Paytime’s solutions with the Bemobi Pay platform, focusing on the enterprise segment.

Paytime’s co-founder ⁠and CEO, Leonardo Gomes, will remain responsible for the strategic and operational management of both businesses, Bemobi added.
