The increase in the flow of visitors has directly impacted the local economy. Merchants report greater demand for products and services, especially at night, which contributes to the generation of temporary jobs and income for downtown workers.
To facilitate public access, the City Hall provided free bus tickets on weekends, starting at 6pm, further encouraging public presence. The measure allows residents from different neighborhoods to go to the center to see the lights, take photographs and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with family and friends.
With more people circulating, the center of Rio Branco gained new dynamics, reinforcing its role as a space for coexistence and cultural appreciation. The expectation is that the movement will continue intense until the end of the Christmas program, scheduled for mid-January.
