The opening of an investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office involving Elma Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo’s older sister, once again brought the name of the Aveiro family to the center of media attention. At issue are alleged suspicions of tax fraud, defamation and slander, in a process that is in the investigation phase.
The focus of the situation, however, ended up falling on Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction, who, as revealed, left direct advice to his sister not to fuel public conflicts, referring the case to the competent judicial bodies.
Complaint confirmed by authorities
According to the Notícias ao Minuto portal, the Attorney General’s Office confirmed the receipt of a complaint against Elma Aveiro, clarifying that it gave rise to an investigation currently under investigation. Official confirmation came after information provided by the pink press.
According to the same source, the elements handed over to the authorities include alleged counterfeit products, payment stubs and financial documentation, which could support suspicions of tax fraud. The case also involves accusations of defamation and slander related to a former collaborator of the businesswoman.
Accusations and the context of the process
It should be noted that Elma Aveiro, 52 years old, is accused of selling shirts supposedly signed by Cristiano Ronaldo that were not original. The complaints point to practices occurring within the scope of commercial activities carried out by the Madeiran company.
The publication adds that the complainants will be demanding compensation worth three million euros, and the launch of a book about the case is also planned, scheduled for February 2026, with the provisional title “The hidden face of Elma Aveiro”.
The public response and the businesswoman’s version
Meanwhile, the sports newspaper A Bola reports that Elma Aveiro reacted publicly through social media, denying knowledge of the process. The position was conveyed by Sara Avelar on the program Passadeira Vermelha, on SIC Caras, where she stated that the businesswoman only became aware of the situation through the news.
In the same intervention, Sara Avelar says that Elma considers it to be retaliation on the part of a former business partner, alleging that the professional relationship ended with large debts to be settled. The presenter stressed that, from the businesswoman’s point of view, the accusations are unfounded.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s advice
The same newspaper writes that Elma Aveiro sought advice from her brother, captain of the National Team, who opted for a discreet approach. “I said not to get involved in these public disputes and that the competent authorities would resolve the matter”, revealed Sara Avelar.
According to , Cristiano Ronaldo recommended to his sister to remain calm and avoid public statements, demonstrating confidence in the outcome of the process through legal channels.
The businesswoman, adds the publication, will be calm about the ongoing investigation, awaiting formal developments in the case.
