
Deloitte Spain Ana Torrens as the next president of the professional services firm, replacing Héctor Flórez. The appointment is not yet official, since it must be submitted to a vote by the partners’ council, which will be held in the coming weeks, expectedly at the beginning of 2026, according to sources from the firm. Five Days. Once the appointment is ratified, Torrens will become the first woman to preside over a big four (as the group composed of KPMG, EY, PwC, as well as Deloitte is known) in Spain.
The replacement takes place after the still president informed the employees, last November, that he would not run for re-election after four years at the head of the company. That is to say, his term would conclude in June 2026. The election of Torrens has been communicated by Flórez himself to the partners, in a meeting held this Tuesday, although the transfer of portfolios will not be effective until the next meeting of the partners’ meeting holds the vote, according to the sources consulted.
Torrens is the partner responsible for the Audit line (Audit and Insurance) of Deloitte since June 1, 2021 and member of the firm’s global Audit committee. Previously, since 2017, he led the audit group in Catalonia, Aragon, the Balearic Islands and Andorra for the Products and Services industry, a team he joined in 1994. Throughout his more than 30 years of professional career, he has carried out numerous financial audits and advisory projects, among which, to name a few, process projects, organizational and risk management improvements, strategic plans and feasibility analysis stand out.
Likewise, the future president of Deloitte is a member of the Official Registry of Account Auditors (ROAC) and has been a professor at ESADE on topics related to International Regulations and Financial Information. In addition, he has taught numerous courses on the real estate sector, accounting, international accounting regulations and auditing.
