Filipa Torrinha Nunes, Joana Latino and Hugo Mendes were on the last ‘Red Carpet’ of the year, in which the most media topics of 2025 were recalled.
At one point, commentators recalled the controversy surrounding the video shared by Rita Pereira, in which it was possible to see her baby daughter crying, and also the reflection made by Filipa Torrinha Nunes on the topic ().
Since she did not agree with her fellow panelist’s words at the time, Joana Latino once again reinforced her point of view and they both ended up entering into an exchange of words.
“My issue was not attacking Rita, it is not attacking anyone, it is attacking a point of view that has to do with the well-being of children”recalled the psychologist. “But I don’t agree with that point of view. I think we have to respect each other here because we can’t impose ourselves on any parent or educator about what the right solution for educating is. And therefore, just because you don’t agree with Rita and I agree doesn’t mean you’re right and I’m wrong or vice versa (…)”replied the journalist.
Without wanting to elaborate on the subject too much, Filipa Torrinha Nunes decided to just mention: “I’m not going to talk about this subject, because it’s not the program for that. I like people to debate me here, I’ve never put myself above anyone, but there’s one thing here: I have training and that has to be respected, it’s not for me and my ego, it’s for knowledge, and for me this conversation ended here”he said. “Just because you have training, that doesn’t make you the queen and the owner of the right information. It makes you the queen and owner of a certain type of information and a school of education, there are other schools for people who are also trained”retorted Joana Latino.
