Compared to New Year’s Eve, hotel reservations during Christmas are far from exhausted. Even so, in some units in the Algarve there is already a growing demand.
The promise of a sunny Christmas with a view and a pool, instead of a kitchen and a set table, without work, is the dream that more and more families are deciding to make come true.
The Christmas season still doesn’t fill the hotels, but in the Algarve demand has increased in recent years. In the hotels of the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura group, in Albufeira, it is already above 50%, both in the units more aimed at couples and families.
Even away from home, the Christmas menu in most hotels includes traditional cod, lamb, but also seafood. Dishes that are often reinvented, such as sweets.
For New Year’s Eve, occupancy and prices rise. The main units, opened at this time, expect to have close to 90% of rooms sold.
