Muna Duzdar, constitutional spokeswoman and former media spokeswoman for the SPÖ, demands ORF general director Roland Weißmann to reconsider the planned separation from correspondent Karim El-Gawhary. Her letter to the ORF boss states: “I expect something different from the management of a public media company in such situations: protection for employees, support for journalists who come under pressure, and a clear commitment to editorial independence.”
