Spectacular dam failure in England left several boats dry

Ten people were rushed to safety after a massive 50-meter-long hole formed in a canal in the western English county of Shropshire (on the border with Wales), sweeping boats away and allowing large amounts of water to spill onto the surrounding land. The emergency services declared the incident a major event. The boats then became stranded on the edge of a steep precipice or got stuck at the bottom of the depression, like the newspaper, among others The Guardian reported.
