The Legendary Tigerman performs on December 25th and 26th at ZDB, in Lisbon. This year he performs as a trio with Mike Ghost and João Cabrita, with Ray as his guest.
The tradition began more than 20 years ago. The Legendary Tigerman, with no memory of happy Christmases, wanted to create a Christmas Eve for people like him who wanted an escape. This is how the idea of doing the concert “F**k Christmas: I’ve Got The Blues” came about. on December 25th.
This year, he thought about breaking that tradition due to “the fact of having a newborn at home”. But he didn’t back down and even went ahead with a guest, Ray, who released the album “Buffalo” this year, produced by Tigerman.
The public will have two concerts per night. This year, Tigerman performs in a trio with Mike Ghost and João Cabrita. After the first date, December 25th, sold out in less than 24 hours, an extra date was added, the 26th.
Next year, the musician intends to take his son.
“Within the family spectrum and my fatherhood, I think it will be cool for Gaspar to go to his father’s Christmas”, he told Cartaz.
This year “Femina – Ao Vivo No CCB” was released. The album is the result of the concert in Lisbon, which also visited Porto and Coimbra, to celebrate the album’s 15th anniversary with female voices.
“I rarely listen to albums, but I heard ‘Femina’ and I felt that the songs were very alive.”
And he adds:
“It’s an album of love, at a time when there is so much hatred expressed”, he concluded.
The last original album “Zeitgeist” is from 2023, where the musician used modular synthesizers, but is already drafting a new work.
In September 2026, “Life is the Game” opens at MAAT, in Lisbon. It will be an installation in virtual and augmented reality, “a kind of cine-poem, an immersive experience”.
