The US economy registered growth of 4.3% in the annual projection in the third quarter of 2025, significantly exceeding analysts’ expectations, according to official data released this Tuesday (23), delayed due to the prolonged government shutdown.

Compared to the second quarter, the increase was 1.1%. GDP was driven primarily by increased consumption, exports and government spending, partially offset by a drop in investment, according to the Commerce Department.

In the United States, quarterly Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is measured with an annual projection, an estimate of 12 months considering the conditions in force at the time of measurement.
