A huge tragedy at Christmas: 6 people died in a head-on collision between two cars!

Six people lost their lives on Wednesday in a head-on collision between two cars in the Opole Voivodeship in southern Poland. After the collision, one of the cars caught fire. The identity of the five victims who burned in the vehicle will be determined based on DNA tests. A 59-year-old man from the city of Brzeg died in the second vehicle, PAP reported.

The accident occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of state roads 39 and 94 near Brzeg. Two passenger cars collided – a Volkswagen Passat and a Ford Kuga. “The Volkswagen, in which there are five people, caught fire after the collision. The driver of the Ford and all the passengers in the Volkswagen died on the spot,” said Agnieszka Žylková, spokeswoman for the police headquarters in Opole.

The circumstances and causes of the accident are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. At the time of the accident, the temperature was around zero degrees Celsius. In this regard, the police called on drivers to adapt their speed to road conditions.
