The value of Rayan’s termination fine is 80 million euros (R$517 millionat the current price). The management made a counterproposal to Zenit and asked for 50 million euros, around R$327 million, from the Russian club. Zenit’s interest remains active and the Rio team stated that it will only sell the player for the price it considers fair.

According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the last offer was 31 million euros, in a fixed manner (in 4 installments), and a further 4 million euros in goals linked to titles: 500 thousand euros in the case of a Russian Championship title and 250 thousand euros in the case of a Russian Cup title.

In other words, the goals would be valid during all of Rayan’s seasons with Zenit. These are bonuses linked to team titles, with the limit value of these bonuses being 4 million euros.

The percentage of Rayan’s economic rights that belong to Vasco in a future sale also varies depending on the value of the negotiation. In other words, there is no exact number. Both parties were satisfied with the renewal in early December.

Vasco has already received inquiries from several teams abroad, including Fiorentina (ITA) and Aston Villa (ING), but does not intend to release the striker easily. Before renewing the contract, the club had set minimum value of 30 million euros (around R$190 million) to open negotiations. It would be the biggest sale in the history of Cruz-Maltino, surpassing the departure of striker Paulinho for 18.5 million euros to Bayer Leverkusen, from Germany, in 2018.

The player refused millionaire offers from clubs in the Middle East, such as Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, both from Saudi Arabia, making it clear that his desire is to make history at Vasco and then play in European football.
