After adding Libertadores and Brasileirão titles in 2025, Flamengo is planning the next season. The team will have many games outside of Rio de Janeiro and is studying possibilities to improve logistics and minimize the strain of traveling for the squad.
Is it true that Flamengo is going to buy a plane?
This Tuesday (23), Luiz Eduardo Baptista, red-black president, confirmed that he is studying the hiring of a long-term charter plane service, which would allow the aircraft to be customized.
– We are thinking about bringing a Flamengo-styled aircraft. We will make between 27 and 30 trips. We would make a deal for three years. We can take an aircraft and sell the sponsorship – explained Bap.
The plan is to make a three-year agreement with a company and style the plane in Flamengo’s colors. The idea also involves transforming the boarding party with the fans into a product, also selling sponsorships in the so-called AeroFla for brands.

Flamengo ended the 2025 season with more than 130 thousand kilometers flown in travel to official and friendly matches, considering the sum of the year’s air journeys and the return of the Club Intercontinental, in Qatar. The number is equivalent to more than three laps around the Earth, reinforcing the logistical complexity faced by the team throughout the calendar.
In total, the club played matches in seven countries in 2025:
- Brazil;
- United States (Pre-Season and FIFA Club World Cup);
- Argentina (Libertadores);
- Venezuela (Libertadores);
- Ecuador (Libertadores);
- Peru (Libertadores);
- Qatar (Intercontinental Clubs).
In addition to international trips, there were frequent trips around Brazil, especially to the South and Northeast regions, totaling more than 40 domestic flights throughout the year.
The 2025 season was one of the most extensive in the club’s recent history in terms of number of trips. There were games for the Campeonato Carioca, Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, Libertadores, Club World Cup and the Intercontinental. Furthermore, there was the pre-season in the United States.
