Libyan chief of general staff killed in plane crash


Tripoli/Ankara – Libyan Chief of General Staff Mohammed Al-Haddad died in a plane accident on Friday. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the UN-recognized Libyan Government of National Accord, Abdulhamid Dbeibah. Radio contact with the plane, which was on its way to Tripoli, had previously been lost over the Turkish capital Ankara. According to Dbeibah, the chief of staff was accompanied by others, including military personnel.
