Marcos Braz no Corinthians? A chance do ex-Flamengo substituir Fabinho Soldado image

Corinthians has already started planning for 2026 with the confirmation of the departure of Fabinho Soldado, a football executive who did not have a good evaluation from important sectors of the club. As a result, behind the scenes the name of a well-known substitute grew: Marcos Braz.

The information was revealed by Benjamin Back, presenter of CNN Esportes and SBT, who named the current director of Remo as one of the most talked about at the moment.

Braz built a prominent career at Flamengo between 2019 and 2024, a period marked by significant titles, and is considered an experienced manager in the market. His name is among the options analyzed by President Osmar Stabile.

Currently at Remo, Marcos Braz played a relevant role in the Pará club’s access to Série A 2026. He received a renewal proposal, but has not yet defined the future, which keeps Corinthians alive with the possibility of moving forward in the talks.

Other names sought by Corinthians

According to information from journalist Jorge Nicola, two other names were sought, but ended up refusing Timão’s attack.

Paulo Pelaipe, currently at Grêmio, and Alessandro Brito, who works as an executive at Botafogo, chose not to move forward in the conversations.

The board is working to define the next person responsible for football as quickly as possible, as the choice will be decisive for the reformulation of the squad in 2026.

Fabinho Soldado leaves Corinthians

The dismissal was made official by Corinthians himself, who reported in a statement that the decision was made by mutual agreement. In the statement, President Osmar Stabile thanked the leader for the services provided during his visit to Parque São Jorge.

Despite the recently won Copa do Brasil title, Soldado’s departure was the subject of dissatisfaction on the part of the squad, who understood that the executive maintained a good relationship with the players and could contribute in the next season.

According to information published in the specialized press, the leader was uncomfortable with pressure from opponents throughout 2025.
