Passenger falls from bus after door opens and dies after being run over in Ceará

A 21-year-old girl diedon the afternoon of this Tuesday (23), in the Parangaba neighborhood, in Fortaleza (CE), after falling from a moving bus and being run over. The accident occurred around Lagoa da Parangaba, a area of ​​high circulation in the capital of Ceará and is investigated by PCCE (Civil Police of the State of Ceará).

The victim was identified as Hanna Vitória da Silva. According to the SSPDS (Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense), the The bus driver remained at the scene after the incident. Teams from PMCE (Military Police of Ceará) and Pefoce (Forensic Expertise of the State of Ceará) responded to the incident.

The case was registered at the 5th Police District Police Station, which is taking steps to clarify the circumstances of the accident. The first information indicates that the passenger had fallen from the vehicle after opening the door while the bus was still traveling.

In a statement, Sindiônibus (Union of Passenger Transport Companies of the State of Ceará) expressed regret over the death of the passenger and stated that it is available to provide clarifications and collaborate with the investigation of the case.

In a note, ABEM-CE (Ceará Social Welfare Association) lamented the loss and highlighted the young woman’s relationship with the entity since childhood.

According to the organization, she studied at the school maintained by the association, participated in social projects, professional courses and worked as a young apprentice. His last participation had been in the sweet and savory course, with a certificate received about a week before the accident.
