Presenter joins Snoop Dogg and Modric as shareholder of Welsh club

American businesswoman and television personality Martha Stewart became co-owner of Swansea Cityannounced the Welsh football club this Tuesday (23).

A lifestyle expert, Stewart — the first self-made female billionaire in the United States — was present as a guest at Swansea’s 2-1 victory over , in the Championship, last Friday.

“We are very excited to welcome Martha,” said in an official statement. “We know that the experience of watching Friday night’s match in person has only heightened their enthusiasm and anticipation to be part of Swansea City.”

Stewart is the latest celebrity to become a minority co-owner of . In July, o rapper norte-americano Snoop Dogg also joined the group of shareholders.

The midfielder Luka Modric’s croatawinner of , is another minority co-owner, having joined the partnership in April.

Currently, Swansea occupies 19th place in the league table. Championship and faces leaders Coventry City this Friday (26).
