Fabinho Soldado arrived at Corinthians at the beginning of Augusto Melo’s controversial administration and continued in the position even after the elected president’s dismissal. We always seek to act in the most professional way possible, shielding football from the political issues of the club, which operates 24 hours a day. Football is sensitive and needs to be treated with care within the CT. He still had one year left on his contract and asked to rest for a period. We enter into an agreement between the parties. There was no fine paid on either side. We just fulfilled what was stipulated in the contract – he added.
According to journalist Jorge Nicola, the pressure for Fabinho Soldado to resign is immense and long-standing. Since Osmar Stabile assumed the presidency in place of Augusto Melo, his main allies have demanded that the executive be cut. This only didn’t happen before because Memphis Depay and other squad leaders asked for the manager to stay until December.

According to “ge.globo”, even before Fabinho’s departure, President Osmar Stabile’s interlocutors consulted the situation of three professionals: Alessandro Brito, Thiago Scuro and Paulo Pelaipe. None of the negotiations progressed, especially because of the uncertainty regarding Fabinho.
