The President of Ukraine states that “these cases allow Russia to prolong the war
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, this Wednesday associated the capture by Chinese satellites of images of Ukrainian territory with the increase in Russian attacks against energy infrastructures, arguing that this allows Moscow to prolong the war.
Warning that “an increase in Russia’s relationship with entities in China that can provide space intelligence data” has been observed, Volodymyr Zelensky lamented, quoted by the Europa Press news agency, that “these cases allow Russia to prolong the war and seriously harm diplomacy”.
The head of state met today with the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleg Ivashchenko, to discuss this and other issues related to Russia’s support from foreign actors in the war, including the recent installation of Russian “Oreshnik” missiles, with nuclear capabilities, in Belarus, which borders Ukraine.
“The aggressive proliferation of these weapons represents a global threat and sets a dangerous precedent,” insisted Volodymyr Zelensky.
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and since then the war has cost both countries tens of thousands of civilian and military lives, according to multiple sources.
