Copinha 2026: where will the tournament final be?

The decision for Copinha 2026 will be held at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu stadium, the traditional stage for Brazilian football. The launch of the event, in November, was also held at the stadium.

The Paulo Machado de Carvalho Municipal Stadium was inaugurated on April 27, 1940. Almost 80 years later, in January 2020, the concessionaire Allegra Pacaembu took over management of the stadium for 35 years.

The renovation of the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, however, only began in June 2021, with delivery expected in October 2023. After successive delays, the Favelas Cup was held in December 2024, which served as a test event.

One of the city’s most famous postcards, the stage has hosted state, national and international competitions. Second home of São Paulo’s four big teams (and, for a long time, the home of Corinthians).

Pacaembu returned to host the Copinha final in 2025, after five years of decisions in other locations. Three other stadiums received the decision: Canindé, Allianz Parque and Neo Química Arena.

Pacaembu’s capacity is currently 26 thousand fans. In the 2025 final, the stadium had a reduction of six thousand fans and a single crowd in the decision.

São Paulo is the current champion of the Copinha and has five titles under its belt, alongside Fluminense and Internacional. The biggest champion is Corinthians, with 11 cups.
