Starting the year at a five-star resort in the Algarve for less than 100 euros is a real possibility at the Monte Santo Resort, located in Carvoeiro, in the municipality of Lagoa. The unit is being identified as one of the most affordable options within the luxury hotel sector in the region for the first months of the year.
The proposal involves combining lower than usual prices with a complete offer of accommodation, leisure and well-being, in a space with the size of a tourist village and a location close to the sea, but away from the pressure of the busiest areas. On the first weekend of the year, on the night of January 3rd to 4th, you can book a one-bedroom suite for two people for 99.06 euros.
A five-star resort in Barlavento
According to the TimeOut portal, the Monte Santo Resort extends over around eight hectares in Carvoeiro, a fishing village in the parish of Lagoa, and has an official five-star rating. The development includes artificial lakes, large gardens and six outdoor swimming pools spread across different areas of the complex.
The uniform architectural design and earth tones used in the buildings create the feeling of a small, private village. In total, there are 133 accommodation units, including suites and interconnected houses, designed for short or extended stays.
Suites, houses and large spaces
It is possible to stay in suites with one, two or three bedrooms, as well as in villas with generous areas, fully equipped kitchens and private balconies. The spaces favor natural light and functionality, maintaining a sober register. This configuration allows couples, families or groups to be accommodated, reinforcing the idea of autonomy without giving up the services associated with a luxury resort.
It should be noted that Monte Santo Resort has six outdoor swimming pools, including a main pool and a children’s pool next to the Club House. Another four pools are located in a more reserved area, close to the interconnected houses.
The resort also has private security and a Kid’s Club, designed for families with children. The well-being component includes the Alma Spa and a Wellness Center, with a heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and free gym, with treatments subject to an additional cost.
Restoration and strategic location
In turn, the Aroma Restaurant serves local and international cuisine, with an outdoor terrace. The space is complemented by a lounge bar with a menu of around 30 original cocktails.
It is mentioned that the resort is located approximately two kilometers from Praia do Carvoeiro, allowing it to combine tranquility with easy access to the Algarve coast. Access by road is simple, following the A2 and A22 to Lagoa, with direct signage to Carvoeiro
