‘Today we are witnessing complete lawlessness in the Caribbean Sea, where theft of other people’s property, i.e. piracy and banditry, are being revived,’ said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman
Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Thursday that the United States is reviving piracy and banditry in the Caribbean Sea by blockading Venezuela and said it hopes U.S. President Donald Trump’s pragmatism will help avert disaster.
‘Today we are witnessing complete lawlessness in the Caribbean Sea, where theft of other people’s property, i.e. piracy and banditry, are being revived,’ Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said about the situation.
“We have consistently advocated de-escalation,” Zakharova said. ‘We hope that US President Trump’s pragmatism and rationality will allow mutually acceptable solutions to be found for the parties within the framework of international legal norms.’
