Sudden death 5 weeks after the wedding! František Nedvěd renewed his marriage vows with his wife, then disaster struck

Brothers Jan Nedvěd (78) and František Nedvěd († 73) were well-known Czech folk musicians. They became famous as a duo working mainly in the 70s and 80s, but their songs remained popular even later. But the brothers did not always have a perfect relationship and reconciled only a month before František died. writes the weekly.

The well-known musician was troubled by several health problems. On Christmas Day 2019, he survived double heart failure and underwent a major five-hour operation. His heart was only functioning at thirty percent and his body was flooded with water. They pumped up to sixteen liters out of it.

František later battled with lung cancer, for which he underwent demanding chemotherapy and radiation. Before his death, he overcame the coronavirus infection. At that time, he and his wife Maria were celebrating their 50th anniversary and on this occasion they renewed their marriage vows. He died suddenly 5 weeks later. The cancer returned and had fatal consequences, to which he succumbed in hospital.

Jan and František were very close, over time they couldn’t come up with a name. They did not communicate at all for a long time, then their relationship was adjusted for a while and they performed concerts. Subsequently, they became estranged from each other. Money was supposed to be the reason. Jan was supposed to cause problems. Apart from his brother, he has not spoken to his son Jan Jr., daughter Alena or his ex-wife, their mother, for ten years.

When František decided to renew his marriage vows with his wife, Jan unexpectedly showed up at the June wedding. “I didn’t even know he was coming. It was a pleasant surprise. He came to see me, congratulated me, everything is fine,” František was looking forward to it, and with his brother they started making plans for a big joint concert. However, he did not live to see that. Nedvěd died on July 18, 2021.
