Czech actor Jaromír Dulava (65) starred in films such as Dědictví or… and its sequels, Civic ID or Saxán and Lexicon of Magic. The artist went through a difficult period due to health problems and literally lost his life. A serious illness turned out of a banal problem, writes the website.
Seven years ago, doctors revealed that Dulava has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It is a disease in which the heart muscle becomes unnaturally thick and hard, so the heart cannot pump blood as well as it should. It is often hereditary and can lead to serious heart rhythm disorders in some people.
No one expected it. “At first it all looked like some kind of upper respiratory tract disease, like some kind of flu,” revealed his colleague Martina Hudečková. Colleagues noticed earlier that the actor had difficulty breathing. However, no one thought that it could be a heart disease.
After discovering the diagnosis, Dulava underwent an acute operation, for which he canceled all his work duties. The actor guards his privacy, so it is not certain whether he is currently suffering from some health problems. Overall, however, his condition stabilized and he returned to what he loves most – acting.
The film comedy Dědictví, directed by Věra Chytilová, is one of the most famous post-revolutionary films and is still very popular. The humor in it is harsh, popular and often exaggerated, but still popular today.
