A video circulating on social media shows a police approach that ended with the crash of a motorcycle on the PA-404 highway, in the district of Benfica, in BenevidesMetropolitan Region of Belém, on December 10th. The images quickly spread and sparked intense debate among internet users.

In the record, a military police officer signals the driver to stop during a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist tries to ignore the order and continue along the highway. The agent reacts quickly and pushes the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and fall next to a truck that was traveling through the area.
The scene generated divergent reactions. Part of the public defended the police officer’s actions, arguing that the attempt to escape justified the action. Other users, however, criticized the procedure adopted, claiming that the maneuver could have resulted in a major accident.
So far, there is no official information about injuries or about the possible opening of internal proceedings by the Pará Military Police. The episode reignited discussions about the limits of police action in traffic inspections and situations of attempted evasion.
