After more than 27 years with breaks, the construction of the Višňové tunnel was completed these days. On the newly opened section of the D1 Lietavská Lúčka – Dubná Skala highway, it officially began to serve the motoring public in the early evening of Monday, December 22.
Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and Transport Minister Jozef Ráž (Smer-SD nominee) cut the ceremonial ribbon at its opening at the western portal of the tunnel in the morning together with representatives of the National Highway Company and the contractor. The prime minister enjoyed a unique activity even before the opening of the tunnel.
In it, he went through the Višňové tunnel on skates. “Unbelievable, even with the opening of the Višňové tunnel, there are two worlds. Those who never did anything for this project or hindered it (Radič’s government 2010-2012) today curse and denigrate, versus those who know what it means to deliver such a project to a successful end, and today they have a smile on their face,” wrote Fico.
The footage immediately went viral on social media, with satirical sites creating snarky posts. Influencer Filip Jovanovič, better known as Jovinečko, who became famous for parodying similar videos, did not remain silent either.
Just a few hours after the prime minister published footage of him skating in the tunnel, Jovinečko was not idle. “Sitina tunnel, pls, can I skate for 10-15 minutes at your place? It will be real (video on Instagram, editor’s note)” he found out on Instagram. The influencer would probably like to imitate the prime minister’s video. It is not yet known whether he managed to reach an agreement. You can find a PHOTO post in the gallery.
The well-known influencer finally followed through on his plan and fulfilled his promise, publishing a parody of Fico’s original video. Jovinečko filmed himself in the tunnel on skates and the prime minister in public laughed, the video he published on the social network on Christmas Day contains some really sharp words.
“Good morning, dear friends, I couldn’t miss this opportunity to skate in the Višňové tunnel. A project that withstood the raids of the Turks, the Huns, and even the Mongol Empire. You will surely say to yourself that such a tunnel must be built much faster, but, ladies and gentlemen, if you knew how much we have already tunneled with the gang, you would understand. This tunnel is just the icing on the cake,” says Jovinečko in a parody while skating.
Finally, he digs into Prime Minister Fico’s positive relations with Russian President Putin. “Now follow me, I’ll be happy here and we’ll send Vladek such a terrible Russian edit,” added Jovinečko at the end, who is skating at the end and Russian music is playing in the background. “Dear friends, in two hours I have to go to speak, now Luca Brassi is there, he shows the Serbian flag, I say, show the Russian one, show the Russian one, I haven’t convinced him yet” adds in conclusion.
