Favorite child actor Tomáš Holý was forever etched in the hearts of Czech and Slovak viewers. However, his life ended tragically on March 8, 1990. He was fatally injured in a car accident near the Czech city of Nový Bor. He died at the premature age of 22. At that time, his partner and great love was the singer Lucie Bílá, writes the portal.
Fans will forever remember him as the naughty Vašek from the family comedy How to Pull a Chair from a Whale and How to Get Dad in a Correctional Facility (1978).. In another Czech film, Holiday for a Dog (1980), he played Holý with his dog Blek. He accepted the last role when he was 14 years old, playing in the German adventure series Unterwegs nach Atlantis (Brace yourselves, we fly over Atlantis, 1982).
He surprisingly put his acting career on hold and decided to study law. The now legendary Czech diva stole Tomáš’s heart for herself.
“We met Tomáš at a time when he was already a huge star and I was barely getting along. We met in a pub because we lived on the same street, Petra Rezko Street. I really liked him as a man and I was probably stolen from him for a while, but I convinced him that I was the partner he should be with,” she recalled in the past about Holý in an interview for Expres.
When Tomáš died, Lucie was on tour in Slovakia. She learned the sad news only after returning home. Until the last moment, she hoped that Tomas, for example, had fallen from the gutter. “I was totally hysterical. When I think back to that funeral, everyone, including me, was convinced that it was some kind of forum. Even his mom couldn’t believe it happened. At half past 12 on the day it happened, she even fired the police because she thought it was another prank by Tomáš“, she revealed.
Last year, on the occasion of his missed jubilee, she published their only photo together on Instagram. “A few days ago he would have been 55 years old, a few days ago it was 33 years since he left. Tomáš Holý, a boy who is not forgotten… This photo is the only one I have, it is from New Year’s Eve 89. We were drunk with love and revolution and we were looking forward to everything to come…” she confessed in a touching post. You can find the PHOTO in the gallery.
