The 2026 Brazilian League of Legends season officially starts on January 17th, with the CBLOL Cup. THE Sporting News provides details about what the national competition will be like.
What will the CBLOL Cup be like?
The competition brings together eight organizations and marks the first major commitment on the national calendar, in addition to defining Brazil’s representative in the First Stand, an international tournament that will be held in São Paulo.
The teams Fluxo, FURIA, LEVIATÁN, LOS, LOUD, paiN Gaming, RED Canids Kalunga and Vivo Keyd Stars participate in the CBLOL Cup. It’s time for teams to adapt to the new season, fit their respective squads and prepare for the decisions that lie ahead.
The four best teams advance directly to the Playoffs, while the remaining two spots are defined in an Entry Phase, once again with the Fearless Draft, as follows:
- The 5th and 6th placed teams face each other in a Best of 3 (Md3), and the winner advances to the Playoffs as Seed 5
- The loser of this series faces the winner of the duel between 7th and 8th place (also in Md3)
- The two survivors compete in a Best of 5 (Md5) for the last place in the Playoffs, and the winner becomes Seed 6
In the Playoffs, the 1st and 2nd place teams start in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, while the 3rd to 6th place teams start in the Quarterfinals. The 1st placed player can choose their position in the bracket, choosing possible future opponents.
