Check out the statement released by Cláudio Mortari’s family on their Instagram

I end my cycle and mission here. I conquered, I contributed with great intensity to all the battles that came my way.

And it was because of an orange ball that all of this was possible.

I built a beautiful family, I stopped being there in some special moments, but always in search of a greater goal within the sport.

Sport has always been present since my childhood and basketball was what awakened me and at the same time welcomed me.

I fought, I always fought in search of what was correct and as professional as possible.

Generations of athletes, teaching and learning.

My thanks to everyone who was with me on this journey.
