Decision was signed this Friday (26) after the former president was hospitalized for surgery and maintains a ban on cell phones and computers in the room
The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (), authorized this Friday (26) that Leticia Marianna Firmo da Silva’s stepdaughter, visit the former president in the hospital. The decision was taken within the scope of Penal Execution No. 169. Bolsonaro is admitted to the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, after undergoing surgery for an inguinal hernia.
Bolsonaro’s defense had requested authorization for him to receive visits from both his stepdaughter and his brothers-in-law. In the order, Moraes partially complied with the request, allowing only Leticia Firmo to enter.
The minister rejected the other visit requests made by the lawyers. The stepdaughter’s visitation must follow the general rules established by the hospital for all patients.
Restrictions maintained
Alexandre de Moraes reinforced that the safety rules determined on Tuesday (23) remain valid. Among the main prohibitions is the entry of any electronic devices into the hospital room, including:
– Cell phones;
– Computers;
– Other similar equipment;
The minister also determined that any other visit, in addition to the one authorized this Friday, will require prior approval from the Federal Supreme Court. The and the Attorney General’s Office () were notified of the decision.
