NBA: Warriors beat Mavs on Christmas in game marked by new injury to Davis

The Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks by 126 a 116 this Thursday (25) at home in the third game of the NBA Christmas.

The match ended up being marked by a new injury to center Anthony Davis, who only played for ten minutes and left the court after straining his left calf.

Without Davis (a player marked by several injuries in his career), it was up to freshman forward Cooper Flagg to try something. Even as the scorer of the match with 27 points, he saw the Warriors win, highlighted by point guard Stephen Curry, with 23 points.

It was the Warriors’ 16th victory in 31 regular season games. The team is in eighth place and is looking for a direct place in the playoffs – from sixth place onwards.

The Mavs suffered their 20th defeat in 32 games. The team is in 11th position, looking for a place in the Play-In – tenth to seventh.

The Mavs will take the court again against the Sacramento Kings, at 7 pm (Brasília time) on Saturday (27), away from home. The Warriors will face the Toronto Raptors on Sunday (28), at 5:30 pm, in Canada.
